I was born in Switzerland, raised in France, educated in the US, and I have worked in the UK and Mexico. Oh, and my wife is Polish.

My professional life is as colorful: I trained as an engineer, became a researcher, then a management consultant, a professor, an administrator—of a multi-disciplinary school—and now a consultant again.

Some stick to doing the same for a long time; I think that diversity is a great source of innovation. Plus, it makes life much more fun.

After graduating from Rice University with a PhD in mechanical engineering, I worked for Accenture as a strategy consultant, first out of Houston and then London.

Then I moved to Mexico where I was a professor of engineering at the University of Monterrey. I also served as its graduate dean from 2003 to 2010.

In June 2010 I moved back to Houston to become the director of operations of Beth Beloff & Associates, a consultancy that helps organizations become more sustainable.
