I was born in Switzerland, raised in France, educated in the US, and I have worked in the UK and Mexico. Oh, and my wife is Polish.

My professional life is almost as colorful: I trained as an engineer, became a researcher, then a management consultant, a professor and now an administrator—of a multi-disciplinary school.

My point is, why choose if you don’t have to? In fact, I love diversity: it is a great source of innovation and it makes life much more fun.

After graduating from Rice with a PhD in mechanical engineering, I went to work for Accenture as a consultant in the strategy and business architecture unit, first out of Houston and then out of London.

Currently, I am a professor of engineering at the University of Monterrey, and I have been serving as its graduate dean since 2003.
